Peter Pomerantsev (Kiev, Ukraine – 1977) is a prominent Russian-British writer, journalist and academic. He was a Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics from 2017-2020 and currently holds the position of Senior Fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He is known for his analysis of propaganda and disinformation in the digital age, embodied in works such as “Nothing Is True and Everything Is Possible: The Surreal Heart of the New Russia” (2014) and “This Is Not Propaganda: Adventures in the War Against Reality” (2019). His work has been published in prestigious outlets such as The Guardian, The Atlantic, The New York Times and Granta. He is also regularly invited to address seminars and conferences at institutions such as NATO, the EU and universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Columbia and Princeton. His latest book is “How to Win an Information War: The Propagandist Who Outwitted Hitler” (2024).
