The dangers of populism for liberal democracy
Massimo La Torre is Professor of Philosophy of Law at the “Magna Græcia” University of Catanzaro, Italy, and visiting professor of European law at the University of Tallinn, Estonia. He got a Ph. D. at the European University Institute of Florence and studied law and political science at the University of Messina and at the Johns Hopkins University, Bologna Center. He has been teaching at the European University Institute, at the University of Bologna, and at the University of Hull. He is Associate Editor of Ratio Juris. An International Journal of Jurisprudence and Philosophy of law. He has been granted the Alexander von Humboldt Research Award. His latest monograph is: Il diritto contro se stesso. Saggio sul positivismo giuridico e la sua crisi (Olschki, 2020).
