Thea Dorn (Offenbach am Main, 1970) is a philosopher and German writer. She has been research assistant at the Freie Universität Berlin and a playwright at the Schauspiel Hannover. Her books include Die Hirnkönigin (1999, German Crime Novel Prize 2000) and Berliner Aufklärung (1995, Marlowe Prize). Between 2003 and 2004 she presented, together with Dirk Schümer, the television program Schümer und Dorn – Der Büchertalk on the German public TV channel Südwestrundfunk and since 2004 she has hosted the talk show Literatur im Foyer, where she presents new books and talks with writers.
