The retreat of democracy in Eastern Europe

Anna Sroka (Poland, 1977) holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and is a professor at the University of Warsaw. Professor Sroka is highly knowledgeable about the situation in Spain and is the author of a dissertation titled The Spanish State of the Autonomous Regions in the Process of Changing Its Territorial Structures. Between 2006 and 2008, she was a researcher at Antonio de Nebrija University and the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). During her time in Spain, she played a key role as Poland’s ambassador to Spain in preparing for the 14th Spanish-Polish Summit held in Warsaw in July 2022. She currently serves as a Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Universidad San Pablo CEU.
